FIBArk 2011

Bonnie G and me completed the 26 miles yesterday, see: http://www.fibark.net/fibark_history.php

We were the only open canoe to do so. Our unofficial time was 2:49 with an average speed of 9 mph. The flow at Wellsville was 3600 CFS. We stopped only twice. Once to bail after Bear Creek and next to recover from our flip in Cottonwood. The flip was the only disappointment and didn't keep us from having fun.

Here's our practice run of Cottonwood:

I tried to stay further right during the race, but we ended up hitting the bank and spinning. We hit the last wave backward and it felt like we did an ender.
