Sweet Skills, OC1 Coaching Concepts.

Post by Kelvin »

Hi Folks,

Just letting you all know about a cool new OC1 coaching tool for 2011.

Sweet Skills will consist of five high definition video sections that will be available on a pay to download basis. Each section will consist of two parts that will also be available as free online articles.

I am working on the first five articles at the moment, these will be online early March. We are shooting the footage for the five sections in the Alps this coming Spring, you will be able to download these by the end of the Summer.

Another idea I have is to maybe make the articles interactive, you will be able to ask questions, make comments and receive answers. I am also looking into remote coaching through video analysis, this will be a little further down the line.

This will be a fantastic tool for coaches and paddlers of all standards.

Looks like 2011 is going to be another great year to be a C-Boater!

Best wishes,

Kelvin and Dave. (The man behind the lens!)

The articles and section will be as follows:

___________________________Section 1
Creating momentum
Dynamic edge stability

___________________________Section 2
Understanding your hull
Driving through turns

___________________________Section 3
Guiding with the blade
Tactics and dry lines

___________________________Section 4
Running the steeps
Safety and rescue

___________________________Section 5
Playboating
Rolling and bracing
