If you're new to the paddling community you may be wondering what is a "CBoat"? The term CBoat describes both open ("OC") and decked ("C") canoes. What makes a decked canoe a canoe vs. a kayak? A decked canoe, like an open canoe, is paddled from the sitting-while-kneeling position, using a single bladed paddle. A kayak, is paddled while sitting on the bottom of the craft using a double-bladed paddle. Two person decked canoes, or C2's, are also available and a lot of fun with the right partner. Open canoes are available as one-person (OC1) and two person (OC2) boats.
