Description:
Huge endholer, widely paddled in the 70's.

Info from an ad on CBoats / Craigslist: fabulous in a class 3-4 river, very exciting! The bow person gets stuffed THROUGH the waves, not over! I built this when I was 17 in 1973 with a mold borrowed from John Berry, ex-Olympic paddler. It has at least 3 layers of glass, 2 layers of poly and 1 layer of heavy glass in the bottom, the same in the top minus the heavy glass. The overall length is 16'0". It has no plastic seam tape on the outside (only decorative anyway), is seamed together on the inside with fiberglass tape, 2 and 3 inch width. It may leak and need additional patches, there is already one applied on hull for the same reason.
User Comment:
From John Berry (1971 sales literature) "Designed as a comfortable, high-performance whitewater canoe by Bob Harrigan (6'4") and by John Berry (6'3") who, having retired from serious racing, wanted something other than pregnant surf boards (slalom C2's) for all-around river cruising. This canoe proved too popular for a one-man production line, so that there are several commercial versions of it. Options such as a third center cockpit (oval or round), or a center cargo hatch opening are also available."
