Re: Quality breakdown paddle
I think you're looking for Shaggy Designs. They make a very nice and well priced paddle. I had one and would buy another

I have a hole drilled into the piece between the knees of the bulkhead on my SFly that holds a typical bike waterbottle.

Re: Superlite and Lite Spanish Fly from Esquif
The S Fly is the most fun boat I've owned. I wish I still had time to paddle so I could justify upgrading to a Superlite. I think the Fly handles pretty good even at 220+. It's very stable full of water and that's a plus because its a wet ride no matter what you weigh.

Re: Boat Width/Stability vs Height
If it's of any interest I have both a Vertige and Ocoee and live in Southern Ontario (Cambridge) if you wanted to compare first hand. As others have pointed out I wouldn't recommend the Vert as a dedicated WW boat - mine is also used for multi day self supported river trips. The hull shape (chine sh...

Re: Comparing new OC-1 solos for 200+lbs
Pat, I've got a 9.3 and I'm pushing 230. No issues handling the weight. I moved to this from a L'edge also carries the heft.

Re: Multiday Rigging
With 48" float bags my Vertige has room for either a 50L barrel or 70L Sealine baja bag for and aft of the saddle. Gear strapped in or not is a bit of preference and the type of river, but I go strapped down tight so gear acts as additional flotation and I only have one thing to chase. Sometime I ca...

Re: "best" tripping boats?
Ive tripped with Dumoines Explorers and Prospecters too but have to agree with the Starburst and Canyon as the preferred. Both have a good combination of capacity, maneuverability and speed. Between these two I have slight preference for the Starburst as it somehow feels faster. Like Peter pointed o...

Re: Esquif related questions? Let me help
I'm not in the market for another L'edge but I'd love to hear more about the construction of the 'comp' version when it's available. At first I thought 'comp' might stand for composite but perhaps not?

Re: Questions concerning new L'Edges manufactured by Liquidl
The Liquid Logic version will apparently be even lighter than a L'edge Lite. Perhaps they can name it the Light lite to remove any confusion.

Believe me I checked it out. Super sweet - I gave one a thorough once over this past weekend. I will have one in the next year or two. Hoping to find the rx counterpart as an interim solution.

Re: pedestal glueing question
I've done it a few times without any issue. Scape off any loose foam. Otherwise you're gluing glue to glue witch holds just fine.
