Hit up jeff edmonds (jededmon on this site) he did an exceptional job with one.
My guess is you already know him, or know of him. You work for OB? just guessing by your username and location. If so then you will have lots in common with Jefe.

Re: General Canoeing Technique Advice
Paddle more. the canoeing learning curve is slower than that of kayaking (or sking, rock climbing, etc.) Most white water boaters I have trained took at least 3 years before they looked good in a c-boat. Don't let the slowness of it get you down though. remember the best paddler is the one having th...

Re: Paddle alone?
I have paddled class 4 alone. So I won't tell you not to do it. It is a different experience. I have also had a near drowning incidents where my butt was saved by a friend, Had my tail brought down off a multi pitch climb with a dislocated shoulder (again by a skilled friend). In addition I have had...

Re: Detonator in heavy water - what am I doing wrong?
I used to paddle a detonator. yep. agressive is important. but also understanding the rails, you know that distinct low spot in the middle of the boat? the rails andgle towards the bow and stern from that point creating essentially 4 distinct edges that can be engaged on any one move (onside bow and...

Re: Boofing: lean back, forward, or neutral after hip-thrust
Dito to what was said about it not being a lean so much as lifting with the knees.

this guy mentions leaning back but its really just a by product of the stroke being behind you.

Re: recycled boats?!
Liquid logic used to except boats to recycle and they may still. Some recycling centers will take them (I had to cut mine into small pieces {and yes with 15 welds it was to brittle to keep paddling}) and as far as I am concerned recycled PE is recycled PE, doesn't really mater if boats are made into...

Re: Radical new boat material (the Grumman thread)
first off you would never be able to make a decent hull, more importantly they only last forever on flat water. They are riveted together and the rivets pop pretty easy when the boat flexes. I have spent a lot of time fixing those POS boats I cant believe I am bothering to answer this, I hope this i...

Re: Dagger Nomad 8.5
First off I got an 8.5 this year and it is by far the best c1 I have ever paddled (that includes the Remix and Burn both of which I owned for years) My snap dragon skirt fits great but it is a C1 skirt. So cockpit size is not a problem but I would recommend a skirt with a tunnel that is moved forward.

Re: Looking for OC-1 near Chico, CA
going boating tomarrow- nice, that boat needs some exercise. I think what you need is about a gallon of g-flex and a resporator. last I saw it still had a good 3 years in it at current rates of usage assuming you are willing to paddle boats in the same state of disrepair that I am. Of course it may ...
