Re: Broken paddle blade

Contact Mitchell. I did the exact thing and they were great. For a very reasonable fee they repaired the paddle and sent it back. It has had 4 years hard use since and no problem.
They earned a customer for life with the great customer service they gave me.

Re: Royalex is dead?

So what about TwinTex, yea I know there was a cracking issue with the Zephyr but does the Homes crack as well or is it partially a design flaw? I would love to see some lightweight tripper/WW boats in the stuff. Would the manufacturing process even come close to working or is it a complete retooling...

Older Fiberglass Boat

My father has an older fiberglass boat, we are talking 40 years or so old. He wants to repair it, small cracks and such no big structural damage. Is old fiberglass repairable? It has been painted many times with epoxy paint and lived outside. Any thoughts on this? If it is repairable what materials ...

Re: Nitro Repair, opinions please

BUY A NEW BOAT !!!!!!! You will constantly be repairing some ragged out ZOMBIE BOAT that will get increasingly heavier. The time spent and materials bought make repairs on a boat like this silly. The Open Boat community, seems to take great pride in keeping worn out pieces of junk on the water, this...

The only advantage, small advantage at that is the X is a little faster. In exchange you would have a boat with no edges, hard to roll, less manuverable, sharper bow that shovels water in. They may have changed the X, I had one of the first ones out paddled it for a year and was happy to see it gone...

Don't do it. I think the Outrage is a great boat, the Outrage X is not.
