Mike Yee Outfitting Order

I have not placed an order for Mike Yee outfitting in several years. There is a phone number and email address on his website for placing orders. Is it best to contact him by phone or email to place an order? Is the gmail address that right one to use?

Thanks

Re: Knee replacement question

I spoke with Nolan Whitesell after he had a knee replacement. He diligently followed a rigorous PT regimen, but was not able to kneel in his canoe after completing the physical therapy. He knelt in his boat, but could not get down low enough to sit on the saddle. If your knee joints are replaced I d...

Re: DRY SUIT RECOMMENDATIONS

My 13 year old dry suit is a Gore-Tex Kokatat GMER. I have open boater friends who have had good experiences with their suit. The Gore-Tex suit came with a life time guarantee. One paddler I know got a new replacement gore-tex suit from Kokatat when his old suit had a delamination problem. Great war...

Re: DRY SUIT RECOMMENDATIONS

A good drysuit can last many years and provide the best comfort in a wide range of weather conditions. I've owned several suits over thirty years of canoeing and have found that a breathable material is the most comfortable when the air temperature is 32 degrees or 50 degrees. The layers you wear un...

Re: Who was the first person to put a "pump" in a canoe?

The first canoe with an electric pump I saw was in the late 1980s on the Ocoee. The guy who had this set up called it the EZBailer and he would offer to sell the components. He had an EZBailer sticker on the side of the Whitesell Piranha he paddled. I don't remember the guys name. Years later I hear...

Re: Was/is the Caption a symmetrical hull?

I've owned a couple of Dagger Captions and paddle one frequently. The Caption is an asymmetrical hull. The stern has less rocker than the bow.

Re: Question

I know an open boater who had a knee replacement. He was not able to kneel as low as he could before the surgery. The orthopedic surgeon stated that the range of motion for the replacement knee would reach a maximum degree of flexibility that no amount of physical therapy would change.

Re: Tandem First Descent Suicide Section of Little River?

I've never heard of anyone paddling the Suicide section tandem from hwy 35 to the chairlift put-in. I have friends that have paddled tandem in a Dagger Dimension on the Upper 1 (Humpty Dumpty to Chair Lift). They ran everything and had no swims. That was in 2006. That's the end of the suicide sectio...
