Re: custom roof racks and hitches
All great advice, thanks! Some thoughts in response... since you are already going the minivan route consider a Town and Country- the stow and go seats make for a great option to have an 8 foot bed and the roof has rails/racks that will work for you. You can add longer bars. Car Max usually has a wi...

custom roof racks and hitches
Hi all- My household is getting ready to move from compact cars to having one carpool car. We are considering the new Chrysler Pacifica hybrid minivan. The one big hangup is that neither Yakima or Thule has a fit for the Pacifica. It can come with factory siderails and crossbars, but they aren't ver...

Re: Tellico first timer
Thanks. I won't know anyone else, so hopefully if I show up at Shoneys I will find someone taking it slow or running something else II/III.

Tellico first timer
Hey all, I made it to the second weekend of ALF last year, so I know about Shoney's, etc. I don't know about the Tellico, though. I'm mostly a class III boater; can I handle the race? I saw something in old posts about the OUT race; sounds like that might be easy enough for me?
Excited!

Re: zephyr shedding
Resurrecting an old thread again! Today was the first time I noticed my Zephyr shedding. I was really itchy after loading/unloading. Scott, I'm curious- how is the buffing and painting holding up a year later? Also, for someone who is not very handy, exactly how do you buff the boat? Did you use a p...

Re: The end of ESQUIF..... :(
Do you think it could have something to do with the T-Formex? Maybe a lawsuit or patent issue?

ALF on Saturday
I am hoping to make my first-ever ALF event on Saturday (I know, you all have been paddling all week and I'm very late to the party)... but, this being my first time and all, I forget where it is that everyone meets. And, will there be someone paddling class II/III, or will everyone have moved on to...

Re: boat for my dog and me
Thank you! I'm not familiar with any of those boats, but after looking them up online, all three seem to be exactly the kind of boat I'm looking for.
Virginia is a long way from Alabama, but I might contact the craigslist poster and see what we can do.
Any other ideas? Anyone want to sell a boat?

boat for my dog and me
I am looking for a canoe that will take my 25 pound dog and me on up to class II. I'm thinking of something that has some space for him to move, with the option to remove the float bags. A tandem that is maneuverable for a solo paddler (and carry-er) is also an option. I tried taking him out in my Z...

I have a very old and dusty C1 in Virginia- but possibly too old and dusty. I'll pm you with the details.
