roll call (for us newbs to the board)

ok, from what i have gathered from being a lurker for a while and a member for not that long is that most of the people who post on this board alot are either oc1 or some form of slalom c1 with the minority divided into creeking and playboating. Im not sure where i wanted this to go but id like to g...

boating with k1-ers

yeah, everyone i boat with are yakkers. Its kind of hard to progress quickly because they do everything (it seems) backward from the way i do, plus they give me ____ all the time for the single blade. Anyone else have this problem? (trying to learn to roll from a yakker is well difficult, but it wor...

just get alot more than you think you'll need, if you mess up you have extra, if you dont like where your going start over, if you hit it on the first try you'll have more for your next conversion.....

the fluid solo is a pretty sweet boat, looking into that....the cascade is definitely too big for small creeks.....the Y seems like a great boat but have heard it has a small cockpit, is this true? Right now, pending actually finding one and demoing it (as a k1), the fluid solo seems awesome.

the reason im asking is that there really isnt much info out there about c1 creeking and i figured that the people on this site would be my best bet as to getting first hand info about creeking as I have never done it before and want to start.

Ok, so i have been an OCer for a while (never creeked in an open boat though). recently I started into c1-ing and really like it alot. I converted a playboat, and love river running with it and playing on a wave/hole, its great. I want to step it up and start creeking next spring (convert a creekboa...

i shuttle myself with my mtn bike all of the time on the gallatin river here in mt, anyone who has driven 191 along the river you know it isnt that wide and i usually have nothing but niceness from the passing cars/trucks/semis, plus it is a great warm up if you shuttle before you paddle.
