I haven't seen or heard anything to say it's not going to happen.
Keep your eye on NPMB. The chickens will start squawking pretty soon if it's a no go.
You do know it's Saturday only Yeah?
Hope to see you there.

I took rolling classes from Zoar some years ago and have a high regard for Bruce and his crew. Foster is quite good as well. I need to hook up with him for a tune up. Used OC-1s are hard to come by most anywhere. Keep an eye out here and at www.npmb.com. You also might want to check out the Boston C...

My friend Harry was paddling a plastic Cruise Control last spring. http://community.webshots.com/album/329413347URtgKw Coming from a Cascade he liked the performance of of the Cruise Control except that the stern was going down unexpectedly. He goes around 150 lbs which I'd guess would be close to i...

I dunno about boat plastic but PVC expands and contracts a fair bit with the temperatures. Pretty cold out there the last couple of nights. This is the weather when I expect to see PVC pipe runs pull apart at the joints (electrician). Why don't you bring it inside, warm it up and see if things go ba...

Is a 12' Outrage a long boat?
Is a 13'2" Slalom boat a long boat?
How about a 14' Caption (and what are y'all going to paddle when y'all wear them out?)
A 15' ME?
Longboatin' what's yins paddlin'?
Inquiring minds want to know!

Hey Longboat, First off let me say I feel your pain. I just got out Saturday after a couple of dry weeks and I feel so much better. Now let me ask you, where else are you going to find folks who even want to talk about C boating or OC boating? All the other boards I see are yak yak yak. Nothing wron...

Mamba C1?
I'd be real interested to hear thoughts on the Mamba as C1.
I'm thinking that the 8.0 or 8.5 with it's 27" beam might make a better C1 than the 7.5 with its 25.5' beam.
Kind of looks like the Taureau only you can put a skirt on it.

"We designed 'em" is a nice playboating music video. It's mostly C1 but there are some traditional open and more "x" boats. Google "Clives Eye" and you can see clips. I really enjoy "Tales of the Paddlesnake" from Whitewater video. That shows some serious open boat river running. Whitewater video is...

I'm 190 and feel like I'm a little heavy for my Slasher. I am going to try some Slalom in it this spring and have been told that it will be fine for a fat old guy (me) to train in. Probably won't win any races but that's pretty much a given with me paddling anyway so I'll use the boat I've got. Tommy
