Re: C1 Playboating massacre!
Hi I have a Jackson Monstar- it is a lot of fun in our local hole . I need to tweak the outfitting- mainly the back band, it keeps falling down on me and then I am no longer secure. I also just got a cufly and it is amazing fun in our hole. I am 6ft- 210 probably 225 with all my gear on which includ...

Re: Do you roll with your eyes open or closed?
I think i may have to correct myself after observing what i was doing with my eyes yesterday. Guess I did not have them open all the time in the river. probably a natural reaction to close em. It is interesting to force yourself to keep em open and I think it can make a difference especially people ...

Re: Do you roll with your eyes open or closed?
for sure muscle memory is where it is at, it may have been the 10 000 rolls i did in the pool last winter more than opening my eyes. everything was frozen so pool sessions was all we had. A lot of people blow their rolls lifting their head, if you eyes are open u can look at the bottom of the river-...

Re: Do you roll with your eyes open or closed?
Good question. Last winter in the pool it was one thing I focused on and found it to make a big difference. Opening my eyes and counting tiles on the bottom of the pool. I notice the difference in the river and lakes now and feel more relaxed and comfortable. It takes less time to set up, or do an u...

Re: OC2 failure to flip
to me it sounds like you tie down lacing is not tight enough- you want your float bags to be as flat as possible across the tops of them between the gunnels. You may have to put more crosses across and they need to be tight.

Re: tandem rolling
We are able to roll when the bow paddler switches to my side and now we want to progress to where the bow paddler stays on his side like the c-2 roll. Was hoping to find a good video on that but not much luck yet. My son is the flexible one so he gets to figure out the bow

Re: How much of you teach canoeing
I teach paddling almost full time from early May to end of July. I wish our season was longer. I really enjoy a lot of aspects in teaching, especially getting people hooked. I focus on helping people develop the tools they need for the type of paddling they are going to do. Matching the course, the ...
