OCA Seat Placement
I changed my gunnels on a Blue Hole OCA but I have misplace the measurements for the the seat placements. Does anyone have the measurements for the seats. Much appreciated if you go. Distance from stern to back edge of stern seat and back edge of bow seat- thanks, would like to get it back in the wa...

Re: "best" tripping boats?
My personal favorite tripping canoe for Yukon wilderness trips would be the Hellman Slocan made in Nelson BC. Great boat hauls a big load (aka a moose), very fast for a whitewater tripper, tough and light weight. I have paddled and/or own most of already mentioned boats. For there are always factors...

Re: Covert vs Rebel Handling?
Tommy when you mention Speed- how do you compare this to older Long boats, such as a composite Viper 12? Which is a boat I have had for 27 years (i love composite and its been abused- even endered a Ford Ranger over 100 ft bank, boat probably save my life, paddled it the next day) . I have not yet s...

Re: Any Alaskans on Here?
There is tons of camping and exploring here in the Yukon. Water is high in June so lots of good paddling. Most of the land is free range, explore and camp where you want which means lots of gems to find.

Re: Zet Raptor C1 conversion
Hi NZ
I just got a Director C1 going to try in the pool today. I see you have added knee straps to yours, did you bolt the other end through the hull? and use the foward hole in the spine for the other end? I could not tell from your pics
thanks

Re: How MITH can save tandem whitewater canoeing.
There are aspects of MITH i like. I used PAT a long time ago but switched to APT- Angle Power Tilt and it works well when people use it. I found when I had power first that was what everyone focused on and people always used too much, so I switched Angle- Perpendicular to the Eddy Wall- you want to ...

I having patiently waiting for some reviews and very surprised there has been no mention of them on here. So folks that got to paddle the new Silver Birch ...

Re: Question for Blackfly Option Owners
Pat either boat will be just fine for you. I am the same weight on a good day and I pack lots of junk. Just get a Blackfly or L'edge it will change your paddle experience. The Ocoee is wet boat.

Re: New Freestyle OC1?
Hi Gywn we met you at last year Whitewater Nationals- we would be interested in a composite playboat up here in the Yukon for Pelly to train with. But would really depend on price at the end of the day. the bow would have to be built pretty rugged as our play wave is shallow and hitting the bow happ...
