Does anybody in Australia have a new or second hand Spanish fly or something similar in good condition that they would like to sell.

Any help would be appreciated.

I want to buy???

Hi, I am wanting any info on how the Taureau and Salsa paddle as I would like to buy both boats. The problem being the freight from the USA to Australia is between $1500-$2000 per boat, yes you heard right. That's not including the sale price. Although I may of found a way around these ridiculous fr...

Hi Sandie,

I have put a couple of pictures on my blogspot, I hope it helps.
I have made all of this myself, it took time and money but I am extremely happy with my set-up and feel very comfortable and safe.

Hi Andy, I think you should also look at Bliss sticks "SCUD" as I believe it was designed for larger gentlemen as a playboat. I bought 1 for my wife who is a light weight, tiny tot as a creek boat and well she loved it. It has fantastic stability and plenty of room. I understand this might be expens...

Just bought !!!

Hi everyone, :D I just wanted to share my total and complete happyness. I just finished paying off my NEW (second hand) Mad River/Outrage, it is in beautiful condition and has been looked after very well. It is also completely outfitted. :D I am very excited about my first paddle in it. It is an ext...

I myself am very lucky to have a very generous friend who is genuinely excited about teaching me and watching my progression in C1, without his help I would still be floundering around on flat water. I don't have to pay him and he doesn't ask much of me, except to listen, which I do intently. I also...

Well so far the shorter stroke has helped, except the annoying fact that I am doing more strokes. There is still a little bit of flutter. Very little compared to the full stroke. Turning the blade slightly has also helped, but I have been falling into my same stroke technique and then comes the flut...

Paddle problem

Hi everyone,

I am having problems with my H2O paddle, standard shape.

It seems to flutter as I am doing my onside forward power stroke.

Is that normal for all paddles? or do the plastic moulded blades break down or loose rigidity over time, as it is a few years old.

cheers

Hi B,

You might have a look through youtube as I found bits and pieces of canoeing stuff that I wanted and I think from memory that there is someone practicing on both sides and the video footage is pretty good.

Hi John, Bliss stick kayaks have a deal for the USA paddlers. Buy one, get one half price. I sure one of the dealers over there might help you out. Bliss stick have a great range of playboats, but you would have to convert it to C1. There are some amazingly clever C1 boaters over there who I'm sure ...

I agree on both comments. 1: Go and see a Physio, explain and show how you sit, move, paddle. Get as many stretches and excercises from them as possible and start doing them NOW and keep doing them for years to come. 2: If it hurts STOP, go and get some medical advice. 3: Patience; take your time wi...

Hi Skip, I'm kicking back having a few beers right now playing on the computer. Anyway, Find the centre or balance point (like scales) on your boat, get a broom stick with no brush on it, tape it down to the floor so it does not move. Put your boat on top of the stick around the middle of the boat a...

I also use NRS black rock dry pants and I think there awesome, a little tricky at first to find the right comfort spot. Also an old macpac cag top, which doesn't breath, so I get a bit sweaty but it is really strong material and has copped bucket loads of abuse and still looks and functions like it ...

Well I've never paddled an OC1 but would assume that a longer paddle would help and have been looking for an open boat.
But I don't like tripping over my paddle in my play boat as it's hard enough
