Stool

I made a stool the same size as the pedestal
in my C-1 and I have a rule that if I watch television
I sit on the stool. Now I can kneel as long as I like
in the C-1. I am retired; so the old joints can be
taught new tricks

mahyongg - I am with you. Just snowshoed up the hill yesterday to
get some branches for a paddle grip. I use a lot of Titebond 3 water-
proof glue. Built my paper canoe with it ( 6 quarts) and it sill floats

Composite Canoe Paddle

I am thinking of using basswood and balsa core. I am not sure how many layers of cloth one needs for the blade; one or more? True it's more effort than it's worth but I need something to do while waiting for ice out. Duane Strosaker has a web site "Building a Carbon Fiber Greenland [kayak] paddle". ...

Minimum Pool Size?

What would be the minimum pool size one could
learn to roll a boat in? I saw a 15' * 12' * 42" free
standing pool that was affordable. Perhaps for a
C-1 one could use a short stout paddle like a
pizza paddle for learning the basics

Installing bags in a C-1?

I removed the float bags from my PERCEPTION Gyra Max C-1 to repair a hole (stupid mouse :( ) now I am wondering how to reinstall them. I tied a nut on a string and tried to get it to pass around the pillar but no go. Next I tied a short length of small chain on the string but that couldn't find the ...

WTB:wee piece of yellow (vinyl) airbag

Stupid mouse chewed a hole in my yellow vinyl flotation bag.
Anyone parting one out? :-? A two inch square would be
plenty.
