Best source for 3" minicell foam

Anyone have suggestions on where is the best source for 3" foam. I'm looking to buy at least a 4'x4' piece. Sweets was where I last bought, but if anyone has other suggestions, I'd be interested in hearing.

Mattbcha....I too got to run the Upper Gauley this past weekend for the first time in my brand new L'edge. Not having boated hardly at all for the last 5 years and climbing in a boat I hadn't paddled before... then to put on the UG made me very nervous....well maybe terrified might be more apt. As s...

Since I'm here at with Bailey's shop at my disposal I whipped out a pair of wood gunnels yesterday afternoon just to have on hand in case I do decide to go that route. Took about an hour. But I'm going with the pictured version and no I'm not adding extra thwarts...it's very rigid as is.

Speaking of Vertical Addiction....where's Dale? (Johnson, that is). Not selling anyone on this forum short or the new crop of young bada** OC'ers. But for my money, Dale is just about the best ever. In today's short boats there's no telling what he would be doing. My 1st boating trip in the SE, I ha...

Great looking set-up. If you don't mind my asking. Where did you get your bindings and how much did they cost. I've found some on the internet for around $25 ea. I'm assuming those are ankle straps for a snowboard. I can't believe I'm having such a hard time locating some.

It can be cool and moist up around the Alseseca. You'll go over the mountains from Xalapa. I'd take something for cool+ weather both on and off the river. They have what they call the "chipi-chipi" (cheepy-cheepy), a cool/cold wet fog that can cut right through you. First time Bailey Johnson went wi...

I didn't get to go to Frankie's funeral but my friend El Diablo did. He told me that Frankie's family had no idea what an impact he had on the paddling world. His boats paved the way for what we paddle now, both in boats and runs.

The only boat on the list I had was the Phantom. Bailey Johnson tried to talk me out of buying it. God was he right. What a turd! My apologies to its fans, but as a boat for running tougher runs it just didn't cut it. The bow did come up fast. Was terribly unstable full of water. And without the har...

I'm in with the S.Fly as a good creeker also. Boofs great. Can spin on a dime or a wave and change direction in a flash. The short length lets you work the corners and edges if you need to on the bigger stuff. I often find myself using waves to surf from one side or location to the other or to spin ...

Thanks Phreon, went to a dive shop this morning and picked up 4 metal cam buckles. And yeah oops, I'm on my third tweaking. Now I can barely get my butt in, so I hope I am getting there. I guess I'm no different than all other men...I like it tight :D (apologies kiwichick). I'm planning on boating o...

Yeah I have thigh straps of seat belt webbing with cam buckles and a length of hose covered cord linking the two, so one easy pull and they're both undone. I feel like I jumped the gun a little with this topic however. I've always told my girlfriend when she has been worried about being too tight in...

You're close Louie, I've been hand stimulatin' female birds. I prefer feathers over scales. Spent this last summer in AZ playing peeping tom on the southwestern willow flycatcher. Yeah for the last 4 years we've been doing contract biology stuff for several enviro firms. Since there are no biology j...

Outfitting for death

Sorry about the dramatic title, but being in the process of outfitting a new playboat, I've noticed (from looking at pics) that a lot of c1's seem to be outfitted in such a way that it would take real work to get out of one. My last c1(forplay) was definitely so. To feel like I was locked in enough ...
