I used to have a Jeep Wrangler and putting our MR Explorer on the roof actually helped the mileage. A solo boat didn't seem to effect it.

looks like he has foamed out the inside of the tumblehome, like in a superfly. If you look closely at his skid plates, they are a bicycle tire. interesting indeed.
