gas milage

I used to have a Jeep Wrangler and putting our MR Explorer on the roof actually helped the mileage. A solo boat didn't seem to effect it.

downtime

I can consistently get my boat down to chest deep, and have gotten my chin wet a few times. Last year at Rincon I jumped in Mike's boat (Chopped for 140#) and was able to get my head completely under, but I haven't been able to repeat it yet. I think my boat just has too much volume, more cruiser th...

a chop like that or just a little lower, should be good to go at Rincon. with a crossbow charc I'll bet you could sink it.

stern screws

Think about edges and energy and buoyancy. If you edge the boat to your onside, your paddle stroke is pulling that edge down, as that energy comes to an end, level the boats edges. If you then edge to your offside, the stern will resurface and you have done a pivot turn. If you continue with those s...

Jeff, I'd love to paddle with another c squirt boater, there are a couple of us who show up at the Rincon Rendezvous every year. You would be welcome to join us, its usually the first weekend in Aug. just downstream of Salida, CO. If I make it out to Moab next spring, I'll be sure to let you know, I...

atom skirt size?

could you do me a favor and throw a tape measure on the cockpit rim?
length and width dimensions would really help me out. I'm considering cockpit sizes for my glass boat.
thanks

browns is great, but if you get time you might also check out Parkdale, or the fractions. if you are here in later july the water will probably be around 750cfs. that's a great level if you are looking to step up to the Royal Gorge or Numbers. I hope to be around the ark some this summer, PM me as y...

looks like he has foamed out the inside of the tumblehome, like in a superfly. If you look closely at his skid plates, they are a bicycle tire. interesting indeed.
