That was a fun race. Nice video--It was nice to be gate judging during that sequence and being able to actually watch them close up. Casey and Ricky are really fast.

Probably (although I'm not sure) the youngest to check this board regularly, I'm 16. Started paddling open boat (esquif Spark) two and a half years ago. Started paddling C-1 this past spring.

The Esquif Blast solo might be a good bet. The design (in my opinion) is much more interesting and has MUCH more potential than the prodigy x. But that's just because I'm not a big fan of the prodigy boats in general. I think anyone would be much better off in a Blast.

5'11'' 140 lbs. Class III and some IV. and a fair amount of (so far) easy water slalom racing. Prefer creeky type stuff like Tohickon, Brodhead, etc. But have paddled a fair amount on higher volume rivers like Hudson and Kennebec. Never had this problem myself, but make sure that when you do cross forward strokes you really rotate your torso rather than just reaching your arm across. Makes a big difference in terms of stress on that shoulder.
