Big Dog Force OC-1 F/S
Big Dog Force OC-1 For Sale Boat is in good to excellent shape, has the usual scratches you'd expect for a boat in the southeast, but no significant damage. No cracks/welds. Original saddle has been replaced with a foam bulkhead (blackfly I think), and the plastic decks cut out and replaced w/ cord....

Re: Re-Outfitting an old Caper
I'm pretty sure they will be using the boat for flatwater mostly and I think they would rather have the space left open than have it taken up by bags/lacing. So I was planning to outfit more like a flatwater boat would be, with the seats more towards the ends than you'd find in a whitewater boat. Th...

Re-Outfitting an old Caper
Hola Amigos Aquaticos, I'm about to re-outfit an old Dagger Caper that has been sitting around collecting dust. It's got a saddle in it now, but the folks I'll be outfitting it for want it set up for tandem with seats as they will mostly use it on Class I-II around down on the French Broad, maybe it...

New wave acrobat c1
I am selling my new wave acrobat c1. It's the full cut I believe. It's a beautiful boat, tons of fun, but I haven't used it much and it's far to sweet a ride to be hanging out in my basement. I'll be at ALF the first weekend and maybe longer and can bring it with me. I can email pictures, but I'm ha...

Z-
put the lid back on the weldwood and come out of the basement. let the fumes air out a while, we're worried about you.

Re: ALF/Pre-ALF Workshops
Two things: 1) Please, please, PLEASE don't let the fact that people act like pompous bags-of-wind on the internet (and, yes, occasionally, in person) deter you from coming to ALF. It's the most fun week of the year if you're an open boater. Yes, you will hear people yelling ridiculous things at one...

Re: 2010 L'Edge Debate.
my l'edge has been thoroughly abused on southeast creeks (read slid over wet rocks on a regular basis). it's held up just fine, remarkably well actually. I've hit rocks so hard i half expected it to be cracked and it's still holding up great. the boat has a higher tolerance for abuse than my body do...

Re: C-Boaters with nose plugs?
I just wanted to say, Smurf, you did great on that last post. We're all very proud. i don't like noseplugs. i find i expect to flip when i wear them. and i hate panting and breathing only out of my mouth when i run whitewater, it makes me feel like a dog. plus, regardless of what anybody thinks (mys...

Re: Can the l'Edge be used as a tripping boat?
well i'm sure it will get some laughs, but yes, it can be done. this spring I did the Temagami river in ontario in a l'edge. we thought we'd take 3 days/2 nights, but ended up doing it in 2 days. its a pretty common tripping run where folks tend to take tripping boats and portage all the 'good' stuf...

Re: Spanish Fly, Ion, or Blackfly??
Shane, i'm in asheville and have a spanish fly you're welcome to try out. the SF was my one boat quiver for a while, till i got my ledge. it's a great boat for sure, super versatilve. lots of fun for play and also a great creek boat. that said, already having a ledge, which is a great creeker and al...

wow! i hate a missed it! well done sir indeed. looks like it was a heck of a show, a sh!t show at that, but a good 'un all the same. the rest of the boating world may say what they want to about us, but they can't say we got no sense of humor. we had a saying in WV when i used to push rubber up ther...
