Re: any c-2's for sale out there?

I have a Patriot C2, built by Valley Mill Boats. It is in very good condition, a fast and responsive boat. Cockpits are offset for Stern right/Bow left. Paid $400.00 used and have caused very little wear since. I am reluctant to sell, but my partner says we need to reduce (make space for new boats)....

The Esopus peaked at 23.34' (80,000 CFS) on the USGS gage at Coldbrook, yesterday 8/28. The record level was 21.9, Major flood level is 18'.
I expect that there will be significant changes to the run from The Portal to Boiceville.

BA, I have experienced your same "affliction". Sometimes the top hand and sometimes the shaft hand. I think that it is a result of too much concentration on the river and not enough focus on the fun. I usually can "shake it out" and go on without a problem, once I realize the need to relaxe! Cold wa...

This has gotten away from the original questions posted by a much welcomed, new canoe team. I missed an important query directed to me, as to why "the dude" is always in the back! In my opnion, The male/female issue is completelty IRRELEVANT! What matters is that a pair, whether mixed or BOTH male/f...

Actually, Li'l D is a very competent stern paddler. Her username was not chosen randomly. Just like "Big Al" is big, Li'l D is little. With the close seating in the Blast, she is looking into the middle of my back from the stern. Unless we are nearly sideways, she can't read much of the river. It is...

As Li'l D's stern partner, I guess I should add my perspective. The "No blaming" rule is very important! You have to be together, blaming leads to arguing (The Divorce Boat). We have had quite a few "learning experiences", some have been painful for sure. What has kept us going, is that we focus on ...

Dagger Impulse For Sale w/Perception Saddle

I'm posting this for a friend. It seems like a pretty good deal: Dagger Impulse manufactured in Jan. '91 with little use. It hasn't seen the water in over 10 years. The canoe has always been garaged and never creased. It is aqua green with a perception saddle with storage compartment, 2 mad river H....

Jim,
DON'T TRIM!!
No matter how careful you are, you will leave little nicks that will eventually tear as the rubber ages. Your gaskets will last much longer if you don't cut them.

Installed Mike Yee double straps and Yakima foot pegs in Li'l D's Rival several years ago. It is a purple 'R' Llite boat. We carefully removed the saddle and used Stabond adhesive to mount the anchors and remount the saddle. The boat has seen much hard use (especially by me) and there has been NO pr...

Tele of course!
It should be no surprise how many boating friends I've run into at the Mad River Telefest. Mostly kayakers though.
