Norse paddle
Sounds like an old Norse paddle. I think the shafts are fiberglass over aluminum. I know they're tough! Good luck!

I never had much luck with anything sticking to Twintex, even after flaming the area. Frustrated from constantly re-installing thigh strap anchors in my Zephyr, I took a 3/8 drill bit to the hull, and installed a center seatbelt from an 87 Nissan Sentra. I made a minicell thigh wedge, and now I wish...

A putty knife alone works well
I repositioned the Mohawk saddle in my Shaman, because the factory installed it in the wrong position. A sharp putty knife removed it cleanly.

Zephyr twintex
I ran into a problem with my Zephyr. The D-rings kept popping out, because no glue will stick very long to twintex. Finally, I drilled holes and bolted a seatbelt and added a knee wedge to make a thigh retainer. New outfitting works great! I haven't cracked mine yet, but its bound to happen!
