Re: Going topless
When I say inside edge I mean the edge closest to the hull. You don't want the seat breaking out when you are doing rodeo moves in a hole.

Re: Going topless
I used a jigsaw to cut the top off mine. The cut on mine wasn't as clean as I would have liked. Then I clamped the gunwales on leaving a bit of material above, a 1/4" + -, a bit lower in the center. It helps to have a lot of clamps. Screwed and bolted them in place. I then used a jigsaw and cut it c...

Craig, Does it make a big difference with the width? I just finished cutting the top off my L'edge and put wood gunwales on it - but forgot to measure it before hand, so I guessed. The inside width at the center is now at 21 7/8". I was happy with the stability before I cut the top off. Do you think...

I was wonder if it was just the open models cracking, or has anyone heard of a decked one presenting the same problem? I've partially removed the deck on mine, left 2" all the way around. But I'm about to remove that and put gunwales on it, just completed them making them.. But I can see were that "...

Gluing Foam Seat to Polyethelene
I hate asking an adhesive question. I'm re-installing a seat in a poly boat that was originally installed crookedly. It looks like the manufacturer used some kind of 2 sided tape to stick it down. I looked at available contact cements, and there is a water based one that looks like it would be easy ...

L'Edge Saddle
I'm in the process of shaving down the bulk head in my L'Edge. When I'm done should my tailbone be tight against the back of the seat or should there be some space? I'm at the point right now where I'm wedged in very tightly and have to force myself in...
