Of course, I shall be there ready to help cook

Let me know if you want a beamer. I think I could bring one down.

For your plans: The 10th ECBA will take place in France, Durance Valley. May 14th to 17th, planning an anniversary week starting from may 10th. Enough to do in this area. Re: European CBoat Armada 2014

Hi Flo that's terrific. Thanks. I see you say all classes of river are there, that's helpful to know. I'm trying to convince my wife to come with me this year, but she paddles traditional open canoes on grade 2/3 rivers with me. Be good to know what people have in mind. She thinks everyone is crazy ...

European CBoat Armada 2014

Is it too early to discuss this?

I've only made it once due to continual conflict between an annual work conference and the annual armada. But this year I should be free! Hurrah!

So, anyone started thinking about this yet?

Sorry, haven't checked the board in ages - too late now, but I'm coming.

Re: European CBoat Armada 2012

Ah, yes, thanks jakke, I should have been more specific indeed. Will this be entirely Grade 4 and 5 water or will there be people looking for less challenging water than that? I've not been to this area but looking at the North Alps book I'm not seeing very much 3, so a bit concerned this might be t...

Re: European CBoat Armada 2012

What sort of level of paddling will people be looking to do at the armada?

Any intermediate paddlers coming ( like me )?

Thanks James

Thanks for the info. James.

Disappointingly, and unbelievably, again, the dates clash with work and I'll miss it a third time.

:(

Nonetheless, happy with my new L'Edge, which seems to roll nicely in the pool. Looking forward to trying it on a river, once ski season is over.

Euro C-boat Armada 2011? 2-5 June 2011 - Wildalpen, Austria

Anyone organizing another European Armada?

BTW
22 April is the second Open Canoe Festival on the Drome down in France, which was great fun last year.

Canoe tripping Switzerland/France

Anyone got ideas of where to do some short overnight canoe trips within say 5 hours of Geneva? We're introducing our club (kayakers or C1 paddlers) to the joy of canoe tripping and looking for places to go. Last year we did the Ardeche in September and it was a tremendous success. Come spring we wan...

Well, I've widened the knee holes and now just make it down to the seat but made a mistake in enlarging them equally. I should have left the front/opening as it was and concentrated on removing foam lower down at the bottom where my knees are coming out. Now I've got too much space up at the top onc...

L'edge saddle adjustment

I've just got my new L'edge :D And I've got a bit of newbie question. I haven't made it to the water yet, but the first thing I notice is that I don't fit in the saddle. It seems to be a matter of the size of my legs. I don't slide forward enough in the bulkhead to get my butt down on the saddle. So...
