LY Saturday?

Anyone headed to the LY on Saturday? The recreation forecast suggests there should be a more-than-usual amount of water for a summer weekend (2.5').

Re: 2013 CBoats Armada - Cheat Narrows / Canyon / Etc...

In addition to the good water and good times there were some truly fine examples of self rescue technique displayed intermittently throughout the day. I think my sympathy swim at the bottom of High Falls was a particularly excellent effort. ;) There was a nice variety of boats among the 8 of us. No ...

Re: Air Bags, post Gaia

Which manufacturer is making Mohawk's bags these days? The bags I've purchased from Mohawk in the past have been super durable. They're a bit on the heavier side, but, personally, I much prefer dealing with the extra weight over dealing with the punctures, broken stems, and quick release valve failu...

Re: L'Edge Factory Outfitting

Thanks for the responses. So the factory outfitting should include two tubes? Or does it depend on who is working at the factory that day?

L'Edge Factory Outfitting

Does a factory outfitted L'Edge include water transfer tubes in the bulkhead or is that a DIY job?

Prelude For Sale - SOLD

I'm looking to scale back my fleet to make room for a potential new addition. I bought the Prelude new in 2009 for ~$1,800 (fully outfitted, with air bags, and a factory installed pump). It's only been paddled 14 times, was stored under cover, and is in very good condition (i.e., no cracks or deep g...

Madawaska Kanu Centre - Week of Rivers

Anyone care to offer a review of the "Week of Rivers" offered by Madawaska Kanu Centre? I've got my eye on it for this coming June and was wondering if anyone on here might have participated previously.

Thanks.

Werner Nantahala Breakdown

I bought a two-piece breakdown version of Werner's Nantahala paddle through NOC earlier this year. It's a more-than serviceable option.

I'm "just" paddling. ;)

Bruce - I should be able to make it to the island by 11:30 or so - depends on DC traffic, etc. My plan is to get on the road pretty d*mn early tomorrow AM.

(Unfortunately I have to drive back on Saturday night).

I'll be there and am staying in the Oaks cabin.

When are you showing up? I'm hoping to get a run in tomorrow if I can find some folks to paddle with.

Bob Foote - Designed many a WW canoe (some of which are still in production). Great instructor. Shepherded more than his fair share of open boaters down the Grand Canyon.

Good to see Jimmy Holcombe's name show up earlier...
