How about $150? And I'd prefer not to ship it, but I'd be willing to drive some to deliver it.

" ... that easy with two blades and a dress" I almost blew coffee out of my nose when I read that. Very funny. I should get an open boat just so I can say that to my kayaking buddies. I don't have plans to travel to the southeast this summer, but I really want to. Thanks for the offer to demo some ...

Thanks for the info. I forgot to mention that it needs to be plastic. I have a buddy here who used to paddle in the southeast, and he said that the rivers out here would destroy a glass boat. That said, I would love to get a full on slalom boat. All the playboating I'm doing is doing nothing for my ...

OC1 or C1 for river-runner?

Currently I paddle a Dagger Id 7.0 as my only boat. I had an opportunity last weekend to paddle an open boat, and it was good fun. In particular, I enjoyed the speed of it (what I believe is called hull speed). I'm thinking of adding a "river runner" to my boat quiver of 1, and my question is, which...

Measuring paddle length

Are paddles measured from the tip of the blade to the top of the t-grip?

Thanks for the specs, Marko.

After reading all the preliminary reviews, the boat sounds great. I'm working on some creative accounting to so I can free up some funds to buy one this winter or early spring.

Wheelboy durability

The rivers out here in Wyoming have a lot of limestone and sharp granite. Boats tend to get thrashed pretty soundly with just regular use. To make a short question long, how is the quality of the plastic in the boat? I'm tempted to throw-down full retail price for a wheelboy, but I'd like to make su...

Another Wheelboy question

What is the outfitting going to consist of? I'm interested in the boat, but I would really interested if the outfitting is ready to go (with the exception of small modifications.)

Poor Canoe/Kayak coverage by NBC

I've been able to see the prelims of all the events (C-1, C-2, men's and women's K-1), but the only finals I've been able to see is the women's K-1. The schedule on NBC keeps changing (I guess when there are no americans in the finals they drop the coverage.) Did anyone catch the C-1, C-2 or mens' K...

Thanks for all of your responses. Last week I tried kayaking again; the first time in 10 years. Yeah, it is easier. And I still have the problem of my legs falling asleep in a kayak, so I’m staying with the single blade. That and it really is more fun than kayaking. I’ve been having some good days l...

Skill level question

Last week I posted a question regarding using a kayak paddle. One reason for that is that I only paddle with kayakers, and I always feel like I get "worked" more that they do. Part of it is that I am I newbie (couple of years paddling), and my buddies have multiple years experience. So, how good is ...

C1 with kayak paddle

I know that this is probably sacrilegious, but has anyone tried C1-ing with a double bladed paddle?

I've read about this guy luke hopkins trying it, has anyone else?

I should have provided more info. I started paddling C1 last spring, and started in a Riot Slice (hades of a way to learn). I'm 6ft, 175 lbs, have a solid roll and fairly good skills (for a beginner). Out here in wyoming, the rivers may only be up for a few weeks, so I want a boat that will play in ...

some beginner questions

I apologize if these have already been answered but:

1) Do you think that a Dagger Id would make a nice C1?

2) Is the Dagger pedestal worth using for a conversion or should I just convert from scratch?

Thanks,

Darren
