I just did this with an old K-1 paddle. I haven't used it on the water yet, but it looks pretty darn good and it was sure of a hades lot cheaper than buying a new C-1 paddle. Total cost? $0. Jakke, If you have a friend in the pool, this is something that helped me prepare for my combat roll. It simulates some of the less then perfect conditions on the river: Your friend stands at the stern of the boat. Then, without warning you or telling you which side, he or she rolls the boat. You sh...

Great story. Thanks for sharing. I'm glad to hear that your son is doing well. I have a question, though. You wrote: I found out that he was in a Kayak going through class 2 whitewater and that suddenly his Kayak overturned and that he did not right it immediately. Do you know why he flipped over in...

After searching the forum, I realize now that "what paddle length?" is a pretty stupid question. I thought there might be an easy formula but there is not. I think I will try the K-1 paddle conversion anyway. I've nothing better to do. I'll let you know how it turns out :D ALF? What is that? Never h...

Newbie Paddle Questions
Hi Y'all, I have two newbie paddle questions: 1. How do I know what size my paddle should be? I'm 6'3" and will paddle a converted Large Fluid Flirt. I will mostly be playboating, if that helps. 2. Where can I find a t-grip? I have a K-1 paddle that I would like to convert to a C-1 paddle. Has anyon...
