Good footage of Casey and Rick, some guy named Parsons surfing a kayak, and even some classic Cathy Hearn coaching footage.

Although I like nachos, beer and stadium seats too!

Oh man! That sounds fun, but . . .

Um, in case anyone's interested, I'll be at Zoar Outdoor for the Deerfield Fest next weekend signing books!

Should be almost as much fun as racing down the Green!

Will,

Wait, there's a GS race on the Green? When?

Drew, anytime. Glad you liked the boat.

Wow, so you're running the regular line on Sunshine these days? That's great. I must admit, I've been kayaking a little bit (with and without the paddle) on the Upper Yough this summer, myself. It is fun. Nothing like C-1ing, but it makes a familiar river more interesting.

Sorry I wasn't around to witness Ryan again this year. Every time I paddle with him, every single time, he does something so athletic that I can hardly understand what he just did.

Will Lyons racing K1?

So I get home from being away and missing the Great Falls (of the Potomac) Race -- and what do I see -- Will Lyons was racing Kayak!! He didn't even bring a C-1! He had to borrow one. He only brought a kayak!!

Will, what is going on here, buddy?

Where are your priorities??

Tom, like I told Benn, I think it's so cool that you guys are making boats here in North America. I can't wait to try Benn's when he gets back. If I can get down to his seat -- that's a separate issue!

They're supposed to get some rain out there. The Cheat could come up a good bit. I'll be out that way but not on the Cheat.

Hey, forget Ohiopyle. When will one of you guys come give JFD and me some company in your slalom boat in the Upper Yough Race this year?

Oopsflipped, I'll be in the Boise area probably late July to mid-August. Not sure if you ever get down that way, but it's always cool to meet new C-1ers. I know there aren't too many out that way.

Decker's got a point here, people. Now, I know that sounds strange in itself (and believe me -- nobody's posts have caused me to reach more for my stress toy over the years) but, yes, in some ways big water is about relaxing. Reliquishing control. Not getting excited by every post on the Liquid Loun...

Joel wrote: "For big water, an effective cross is only going to be useful if it is effective." Exactly. And I'd add -- "For big water, an effective cross is only going to be effective if it is effective." :D In all seriousness, Joel makes a great point about keeping one's chest open. Great advice. A...
