Re: surfc1

I surf my Dentonator on the Pacific side down here pretty often. My wife likes the beach. Getting the boat out through the surf is a workout but the ride in can be great fun. If you are on a beach break it will teach you to tuck fast and tight.

Re: Removing skin from minicell

I have used fine Shurform tool. They can make a thin cut and leave a uniform surface for gluing. I like the long (12 inch ) ones for a better grip and control.

OC2 instruction

I have a good friend I have paddled tandem with on easier whitewater. We are thinking tandem in harder stuff might be fun but do not have a boat appropriate for that. We are thinking about a 3-5 day clinic to give us access to some better performing boats and get some technique input. We are both ex...

Re: Ankle Blocks - Knee Pain - Fix?

I find my weight is very important to comfort. If I am close to or under 190 I am great-much over that and I am good for about 20 minutes

Any C boaters in the Turrialba Costa Rica area?

I live in Escazu. Have not paddled much in last couple of years and looking to run some easier stuff as I begin to ramp up my skills.

Re: Wet Suit Anyone?

I sometimes wear a "surfers" vest under a paddling jacket when the day is warm but the water cool. I am more comfortable than in a drytop. For winter weather though I cannot imagine going back to a wetsuit....

Re: I was a Pain Boater Yesterday

Canoes do enforce a certain discipline. In the tough cases brute force will not suffice-how you read water, approach an obstacle, even how you learn to avoid the problems and utilize the strengths of the kneel all become important.
The thinking persons boat!
