Why the Louie bashin??

The video says it all. ALF is a great time, with great boating and great people. End of story.

If you haven't been to ALF in person, try and come, you will not be disappointed.

Hip Pad size/shape

I am tweeking my L'Edge bulkhead/saddle system. I am adding more side wall foam to increase my knee contact with the chine of the boat and adding hip pads to connect my hips. Does anybody have a hip pad design that they really like and doesn't rip out over time with getting in or out of the boat? In...

Craig, I can't even begin to say how much I love the L'Edge. Pic #10 was taken as a screen saver shot for my computer. The L'Edge in the background was a total fluke. There were so many L'Edges down at ALF, it could have been called Ain't L'Edge Fest. At the OUT Race put in, you had to look twice to ...

ALF Pics: Daddy's Creek and Tellico Ledges

To Everyone I paddled with, It was great paddling with you all this year at ALF. Here are some pics from some of the rivers we paddled. I will post some more in the next few days. Feel free to pass the links on to others we paddled with as I do not have everybody's email. By the way, I broke own and...

2by4 as a beginner's drill... interesting. I was working a lot on paddling forward last year, with the components of the 2by4. So I guess this year i hope to move beyond "beginner" and no the 2by4 doesn't work for surfing or anytime the current is going by faster than you can pull on your paddle. P...

The 2x4 method is a system of teaching beginners to paddle. It has been adopted by ORCKA and Paddle Canada for teaching whitewater canoeing. Andrew was involved in developing both these programs I believe. If you have ever seen Tom Foster's video, you have seen it essentially. (or at least something...

Paul,

Are you related to Red Green by chance? All that`s missing is duct tape.

I love it.

Wendy,

You're killing me with that video. I haven't seen liquid water since the end of November. I just came in from skiing at a balmy 14F, (- 10C) and the first thing I see surfing the web is that gorgeous day on the river.

I can't wait for ALF!

Barring any disagreements with US customs, I will be there, hopefully in a shiny new L'Edge.

I've never run the ledges before, so I don't know the lines. I guess I'll find them or show off some creative ways to get top to bottom.
