he best rating system IMHO is addisons scale of whitewater difficulty, as it adresses all the aspects like technical difficulty, danger and remoteness. Louie is dead on AW ratings are antiquated in my 2 cent opinion...rapids and gear have come a long way I think you should "compare" rapids to others using baselines here is our rating system for the WaldensRidgeWhiteWater site using baselines. http://www.waldensridgewhitewater.com/classfication1.html

Great maps, but need to be printed on at least 17" x 22" paper to be readable. once you click on the link...click on the picture it will expand you can set your own print properties.... the pictures are uncompressed to hack any way you want it....its set that way for the general public to use Downl...
