does the team blade come with a straight shaft?

I used one for years, nice powerful blade but build quality is a bit large steaming pile of dog doo.
Blade on mine fell off mid roll cos it wasnt glued on properly, seen a fair few of them broken too.

Anyone here from australia? I just moved there and wouldnt mind finding some other C1 paddlers! Seems to be very little info online about any form of paddling let alone C1

For everyone who reckons I should be able to come out with my straps on, I don't think so
I agree. Then again I paddle mostly freestyle so in my experience any outfitting I could wiggle out of left too much play when looping or any other moves that I would be upside down for.

I refuse to wear a cowtail of any description any more.
A few years ago while getting a beating in a hole my cowtail managed to get onto my paddle and then clip itself to my BA, quick release was useless as the krab itself was clipped to me.
Nasty things and I dont trust them

Paddled one a couple of years ago (was still paddling kayak at the time though so probably not much use to you).
It felt good! Id say it would be a decent enough c1, nice and stable and reasonably fast.

Mitchell Blades (the UK one, not the US one) can make up paddles with ergo shafts or proper cranks if you want.

I've been using one of their ergo shafts for about a year now and I am pretty happy with it.

another option is snapdragon who if you send them the boat make and the distance from the cockpit rim from your back will make up a custom skirt for you

I used H2o blades for a while. Though I have now swapped to mitchell (the UK ones not the US ones)
I quite liked the H20 shaft I have to say but I was paddling C1 freestyle boats so the short shaft and the close grip were fine. Not sure if the grip is in different postitions but with my paddles ...

be very careful using cheaper airplane seatbelts. I had a chinese copy of an Am-safe buckle fail before where it broke and wouldnt release.

I now use sailing snap shackles or berghaus quick release buckles

I saw some other guy with a snap shackle that was bolted down with webbing, but I don't think it works well that way. I'm all ears for other ideas. I still have my thinking cap on about it

My squirt boat came with a metal ring glassed upright into the back of the boat, just behind the backrest. It is held in by a few layers of glass.
That thing is the absolute business! Easy to padlock it to things and next to impossible to get out.

Find me a more irish looking boat ill be amazed!
