Blue Hole OCA Canoes
If I had access to a couple of good condition Blue Hole OCA Canoes -- what would be the going price?
By "good" I mean:
* none of the middle layer of Royalex is showing
* outside layer is lighter yellow than production
* still float

Well . . .
You just weren't trying hard enough. I could get way more water in there in a class 3ish.

Hooters (as in boats)
Would the Hooter make a good slalom boat for a guy around 210? What's it paddle like? How are the edges?
I'm asking because I'd obviously paddle before I buy, but I would have to drive 7 hours just to test it.
Thanks,
cw

Plan better
It comes down to planning prior to running. Pull out before the rapid to plan your moves. If you want to catch eddies, study the rapid. Bookmark in your mind what you plan to see as you go through the rapid, particularly your entrance point. Run the rapid by looking where you want to go. When you ar...

Demo a Prelude in Central / North AL
Anyone in Central / North AL have a Prelude I could try out during an upcoming weekend?
I'm working my way through boats to try before I buy, that's assuming my wife doesn't seize my "canoe money" again. I checked out a Spanish Fly this past weekend, and I'd like to try a Prelude.

Detonator in AL
Not mine.
It's at Alabama Small Boats on consignment; I've seen it. It's in barely used condition and factory outfitting.
I think it was $900.
