That is great to hear Mike!
If you have a couple of pictures of you running some drops in the boat, I would love to share them with my son, kjturf at gmail . com

Re: Anyone heard of these Drysuits?
The only thing I don't like about my Kokatat are all the cuffs. I can see the cuffs serving some purpose to keep UV rays off of the gaskets, but other than that I think they do more damage than good. They tend to hold moisture and grit, and make the suit harder to get properly dried and clean at the...

kids shorty wetsuit
Like brand new. Camaro brand, size large boys, shorty wetsuit. It fit my son from age 6 to age 8, but he is very tall for his age. I would guess he was 60 pounds and grew to about 85 pounds during this time. He is now 90 pounds and the suit is too small for him. $25. My email is k j t u r f at g m a...

Re: Blackfly option airbag question
Thanks for the tips Richard and Marcus. Milkman - Here is my impression. Keep in mind that I have only had it on the water one day compared to ten years in my Prelude. I will write a more thorough comparison after I have spent more time. The Option is more stable - way more stable. Coming from a Pre...

Blackfly option airbag question
After ten years in my Prelude, I finally gave in and got a new Blackfly option. As Gaia no longer makes airbags, Blackfly now sends the Options without airbags. My thought was to use the Prelude airbags as those things are just bomber. Well, when I put the bags from the Prelude into the Option, the ...

Re: Options for younger developing Open Boaters
Awesome Neill. Post some pics! My son soloed the Nanty on Sunday - probably the hardest thing he has done to date solo. He put in below Pattons and took out before the falls. What amazed me is that I kept checking his boat for water - none. Finally, about two thirds down he asked me to get the water...

Re: Options for younger developing Open Boaters
One other thing - a nice canoe paddle for a little guy is non-existent. You can cut down a canoe paddle, but a cut down canoe paddle may have too large of a blade. I found a nice broken kayak paddle, cut it to the right length for him, and added a t-grip. The blade is much smaller than a normal cano...
