Sorry guys I can't make it due to a dislocated shoulder which I've just found out now needs surgery. Bit gutted to say the least, not sure if Kelvin is still coming or not.

I'd say give it some time. Open boats by definition are going to be wet. if you get a pump that ll deal with most of that issue, but a taureau is never going to carve like a slalom c1 or even a remix, its not really designed for that anyway. Judy, the issue is shutter speed rather than focus. the shutter speed is a touch too slow to get the pics sharp. Solution is raise the ISO level, or put it on auto ISO and put the camera on shutter priority and choose say 1/250th but experiment until its sharp, you might have to go faster to capture...
