Probe 12 for sale $500 in Bellingham, Wa

The hull is in good shape, but the vinyl is worn in a couple spots. It comes with bags, a electric bilge pump, Mike Yee style outfitting, a couple blocks of foam I bought to foam it out, and Keel Ez bow and stern drag strips. $500. More info and pics can be found here: http://bellingham.craigslist.o...

Early June Hells Canyon Trip

got a cancellation permit for Hells Canyon launching June 3rd and taking out June 5th. We plan on going down to Pittsburgh Landing. The weather should be around 80, and the water might just be starting to warm up by then. I'll be running raft support. I am looking for rafters, kayakers, canoers, tub...

April Owyhee Trip

It is that time of year again. Time for me to spam the local paddling forums with my yearly multiday trip invites. Is anyone interested in joining me on the lower Owyhee in southern Oregon? I plan on leaving April 5th and returning on the 10th. It is mostly class II-III. Good hiking opportunities, h...

Re: Lower Salmon query

With the snowpack this winter you might be able to pick up a main Salmon or MFS cancellation permit around then.

Re: Winter in the Grand Canyon

The big advantage of taking out at Pearce is not the money you save, but the time you save driving back to Flagstaff then out to Las Vegas again. Of course that logic only applies for those of us heading West.

Re: drysuit repair - Tear-Aid patches

I have used Tear-Aid on airbags with less than stellar results. It did repair the bag to the point where it would hold air again, but the repair lasted less than a weekend both times I tried it.

End of Sept Multiday trip (Rogue River or Hells Canyon)

I want to do one last trip before the weather goes south on us. I am planning on hitting either the Rogue (if I can get a cancellation permit) or Hells Canyon. The plan is to drive down the 20th, launch the 21st, and take out on the 24th. If people can't get away from work that long we could adjust ...

Re: Kayaker dislocated shoulder moving to oc1

As a convert from K1 paddling I wouldn't worry too much about edgier designs. Every canoe I have ever been in was a tub compared to any K1 playboat. For boats like the Zoom, the Prelude, or the Maxim I would definitely try before you buy as people either love or hate those boats. You will get the ha...

Re: New to the PNW

I am in Bellingham and have a couple extra boats. What type of water are you used to paddling?

I am trying to get a Chehalis trip together for Thursday if you have a passport and are comfortable in class III+ water.

Closed. I find they clear the water better when I roll up if they were closed while I was under.

I have always wanted to do one of DeReimer Adventure Kayaking's Bhutan trips, but I don't know how open they would be to open boating.

Re: Something to start / Aqua Bound Odyssey 7

If it is the plastic blade version I would pass. I got one at a great price and I use it for a loaner/tandem partner paddle. When I use it in the Ledge it is not so bad, but if I use it in the Probe 12, or solo in the Caption the flex is really bad. It feels like a noodle and I know I am losing a to...

Grande Ronde end of June/beginning of July

My plan is to leave town on June 28th, launch at Minam on the 29th, and take out at the Snake River on the 3rd of July 84 miles later.

Historically the flows should be good for a scenic class II-III run. Anyone else game?
