Great Condition XL Burn C1 W/Blackfly Saddle $500

Man, it's been a while since I've used this forum but this is probably the best way to reach the market. I have a 3rd gen., XL Pyranha Burn with bulkhead outfitting. The saddle is equipped with foot pegs just like a modern WW canoe. PM me, email me at jatakasawa@yahoo.com or give me a shout/text at ...

Re: C1 biscuit 55 $350

I'd be interested in picking this boat up if it's still around in say...November. Been keeping an eye open for a c1 playboat. If it sells, no biggie. If not, look me up in three months.

Re: GAULEYFEST 2012 CAMPING

I'm staying at G-fest..the rationale being that the camping is included with the G-fest fee. If I'm going to pay to get into the festival grounds then I might as well just stay there...unless we get there too late, after Upper Yough, and they're booked up...then I'll see you by the airport!

Re: Blackfly Ion as first boat??

The Ion's strengths are it's stability, buoyancy, ability to be controlled when sloshing with water and ability to change directions. It's limitations are speed, big drops, ability to cross over large holes and it makes you work, brotha! I throw my body around, leaning forward and backward to juke o...

Re: C1 Rolling and PFD advice

I have a suggestion. Look at your bulky PFD as a challenge to overcome instead of one to avoid. Make your roll bomber with it on/off. Maybe it isn't easy and maybe you should get another, lower profile one but I would continue to practice. I'm just as guilty as anyone for blaming gear/boats for fail...

Re: Olympics.....Dude.

Was just watching the C-2 event. You can really tell who has it together in the first few gates. There was a noticable difference in the way the Chinese, French and Slovakian whipped their boats around. You can see the propulsion those teams get with their synced up strokes. Not knocking the other t...

Re: Olympics.....Dude.

NBC will be broadcasting it tonight between 12:30-1:30 AM Eastern time according to my directv menu. I'll be hitting the DVR for it as I'm not a night owl. Some pretty interesting stories...check out the Slovakian twins paddling C-2. I think their 'twintuition' may give them a slight edge over the c...

This will be an interesting and memorable Olympics as it's the first one I've seen since becoming a paddler. Looking forward to it!

Olympics.....Dude.

Just googled the Olympic schedule and saw that the C-1 heats take place tomorrow (Sunday July 29th) at 1:30 PM...don't know if that's their time or ours but I'm looking forward to checking it out.

London time....set your DVR's!

Re: Kayaker dislocated shoulder moving to oc1

Let's move beyond the 'should you...' stage and on to which kind of boat you should try out. Your height/weight is useful info., for us to give you boat suggestions. The open boat and C-1 choices are both plentiful. Blackfly Canoes have open designs for every 'weight class' and have bomber designs. ...

You lucky dogs...I just haven't been able to get in sync with my canoe crew too much this year. I'll be in Delaware doin' some fishin' with the family. Have fun, be safe and bring home some braggin' rights! I'll be out there next weekend...no doubt.

Re: swift river n.h.

I too want to run the Swift in the next year. I visited that area with my folks a lot when I was a kid. I was up there for a wedding last Summer and had my boat but they didn't get rain until the day we left. So I'm all for a weekend trip down the Swift when the tropical storms start dropping that g...

Re: C-Boaters with nose plugs?

I lost my in a pool session locker room. Never got to use them on the river. Needless to say, I wouldn't have worn them again if they showed up...so I boat without them. But I'm with PAC on the sinus problems. Even today my head feels heavy with Susquehanna water because we were out playing yesterda...
