Greetings,
This is probably a long shot, but my old knees are giving me fits in my closed boat. So I'm looking for a butt-boat setup for a Liquid Logic Sessions plus. Oh the shame of it all....

Temps
There are some temp ranges for epoxies. JB weld is a high temp type.
The other factor is materials. I shortened a carbon fiber shaft with a plastic grip. It came apart easily, but the epoxy lumps left in the shaft had to be chipped out.

Soften the glue/epoxy
Soften the glue/epoxy by putting the handle in boiling water. It only takes a minute or less to soften the glue up enough to twist out the handle insert. Then cut the handle to length with a very fine saw or a cut-off wheel in a Dremel tool. remember to account for the height of the handle insert wh...

a few additions
Greetings, I'd add a couple of sealed diapers. And maybe some of that blood stopping stuff. If you're headed south I'd throw in a snake-bite kit (just my upbringing coming out). Participants should also have their own epi-pens if needed. Here's a link to a kit my sister did a while(!) ago. http://ww...

Been done
From John Sweet- The original Max C-1 was designed by quartering a kayak and spreading it to create the necessary 70 cm width. In the process, the characteristic sudden curve in the hull profile was introduced while piecing it back together. This hull shape proved to be beneficial for pivot turns, t...

Nice!
I started on the Chattooga about a year after that. I paddled with the guy who drove the VW wagon that's in one scene. His theory, store your gear in the front and sleep in the back.

What about your feet?
What a great idea!
Are you using ski bindings? Or snowboard. (or maybe I shouldn't give anyone ideas.....) Will we see you on the slopes this winter?

Foam brushes minus the foam
It sounds crazy, I know, but buy some foam brushes and tear off the foam. You're left with a little plastic spatula that's great for spreading whatever.

I bought it!
Bwahahahahahaha.
It's a bit long in the tooth. The mildew might weigh more than the boat but the price was right. A couple of cracks that I'll gflex and I'll be good to go.
The guy just wanted them to go to good homes.

Use some lube on the screws, paraffin, beeswax, soap, or my favorite Sno-Pruf (leather waterproofing). Just remember to use a lube that is compatible with your finish. A screw gun is helpful also; turn the torque down so you don't overdrive the screws and finish up with a manual screwdriver if neede...
