The open version is much easier to handle that the decked one. There's just no where to grab it and the wide thwarts dont help. I don't think it is... but maybe I'm biased http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1532606122462 yeah i was really referring to hopping out on a rock in the middle of a...

I'm 245lbs. I always felt like i was sinking the Ocoee a bit but made it work. The L'edge is the boat. I've never been so dry or capable. I think at this length, it can't be beat for large mammals such as myself.

OK for instance take Phil Foti. I've heard of him for years but never met him until recently when he just happened to be at the put in when the GDI arrived. Now I had a mental picture of what Phil would be like and I hope this isn't taken the wrong way, but the real Phil aint what you see here on th...

How many Cboats Admins have ever boated with Louie???

Serious question. Have you ever met the guy in person? Ever boated with him? I personally have a hard time understanding how such an iconic figure in the paddling community keeps getting booted off of "paddling" forums. It's just how he is. The way he talks on the forum is the REAL Louie. So do you ...

His back yard doesn't even scratch the surface. The guy could literally outfit a canoeing army.

That was a fun day on the river! Ken that was an inspiring effort. I'm glad you hung in there and made it down. I saw "rapid" improvement across the board from the Lost Tribe. Tell them all to keep it up! I look forward to seeing everyone again soon.

I'm nobody. Hardly anybody knows me. I don't claim to know much but I have .02. To me, there are a more kayakers than canoers that don't get it on the river. They have no etiquette, they are not in touch with being part of something bigger. I see a lot of kayakers not looking upstream before leaving...

Put 2 6ft boys in a ME on the Hiwassee yesterday. Total weight was 296lbs. My boy at 190lbs stern and the nephew 106lbs bow. They looked good. The boat was riding high the bow up just a tad. It was stupid stable, but they turned it easy. I like the description of it as a 4X4 canoe. Great for beginne...
