Re: Thoughts on a Mohawk Probe 12

I think anything will be more beginner oriented boat than a prelude... There is a Probe 11 here(not mine) http://www.mec.ca/Apps/outdoorGearSwap/gearswap_detail.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302884096&refNo=324029&category_cd=Paddling&sub_category_cd=Canoes" onclick="window.open(this.href);return...

Re: camera setup

Craig, that is really cool, I really like the way it films the entire paddler, not just his hands and bow of the boat... Thank you for sharing!!

Re: Thoughts on the Esquif Zephyr?

In fact, I paddled a demo a few time and really gave it a goos work out and that was at least 4 years ago and I think it is still going strong!! But I don't think I would buy one just because up here there is...

Re: Dagger Encore as a beginner boat

What about a Madriver Outrage? There is one for sale in the classified, that should be a good boat! Or a Probe 12, I have a friend that probably weight at the most 125lbs and really like her boat. Of course there is the Zephyr, but I wouldn't consider it a beginner boat, but for her weight it might ...

From Ontario to Yukon...

I'm looking for a ride for my boat some time in May(maybe June) from Ottawa to Whitehorse. It is a 10 foot, 50lbs BullDog!

Re: Big Dog Force OC1 - Outfitting is finished!

I would like one to.... But there is other priority that come first... Maybe next year.
It would be nice to get one up north to try, but the chances seem really slim!

Re: Bought a canoe, but need help figuring out paddle sizes

What is the boat? What type of paddling you are planing on doing(lake, moving water, ww...) That also is important on the choice of paddle you like. FWIW, I'm also 6'2", and use 56-57 inch paddles... Wing span and torso length can also come into play in the length of paddle and the hight of the seat...

I never had a velcro failure... but adesive is an other story... If you sow it to a vinyl patch first and then glue the patch down, it should work!
