WTB: 13 - 14 foot open boat in NC

I'm shopping for a used OC1 or 2, mainly to be used solo by a larger paddler. Interested in an Outrage X, Probe 14, Probe 12-14, Dagger Caption, etc. I'm located in central NC.
Thanks,
Trevor

XXL Palm Stikine Drysuit

This suit has been used 3 times. I bought it two years ago & haven't been able to get out much since then. The XXL is undersized & fits similar to the XL Kokatat. This suit has the ankle gaskets, not the booties. To get a more detailed description, check the Palm website: http://www.palmequipmentusa...

good to learn of other locals. i'm in the same area. i live down the road in sanford. i don't get too many trips to the mtns for paddling due to family & work commitments, but when the haw comes up, i try to get a trip or two in. i paddle so infrequently, that i look pretty green when i finally do g...

being 6' & being "somewhat chunky", tends to change how much space is required to be somewhat tight. (my struggle with furniture disease over the past few years has caused my chest to drop into my drawers :-? ) i've tried some pretty big boats over the past ten years & there is a lot of variation in...

i appreciate the feedback so far. the Y is a nice boat, but the cockpit is a tight fit for me. probably lacks the depth needed to get my legs up in the boat. the mamba 8.5 sounds like a possibilty. how is dagger plastic these days, & how does it compare to the nomad for a c1? i've never even seen a ...

c1 creekboat / riverrunner choices for big guys

I could use some advice while looking for a new boat. i'm considering a large burn. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- some of the reviews i've read on the h3 255 seem that it's stabi...

upper weight limit?

some of the reviews i've read on the h3 255 seem that it's stability is sensitive on the upper end of the weight range. the burn seems to be a refined h3. does anyone want to weigh in (no pun intended) on the how it will handle us bigger fellas? i have found one locally for $700. i fluctuate between...

david, can you comment on the applications of the zephyr & this new twintex material? what weight class is the zephyr intended for (will it float us big boys?) ? is it going to be a high performance boat like the zoom, or has it been toned down enough for intermediate boaters (in my case, read - hea...

bill,

how about passing on some feedback on the gus when you get back. i picked one up a couple of months ago, but haven't started on converting it yet. it would be good to hear about anything i need to consider before getting started. hope you have a great trip.
