Re: Jackson Karma L vs River Elf Storm Chaser M - help me pi

I've paddled neither, but have been through a few boats. One thing that I like to consider, because usually I can't try before I buy, is resale. I have never been able to sell a c1, but selling a kayak is easy as pie. If you buy the c1 you may be stuck with it forever. If you buy the kayak, you can ...

It's worth clicking on the link just for that stunning picture the web page opens with. Nice!

Are there pics of the c1 outfitting?

Re: Blackfly Canoe demos out west - where should we go?

You should just show up at any of the california recreational releases and rip it up and get a good bit of exposure. For CA, there's usually a good sized crowd. It'll be 99.9% kayakers, but if you make it look fun on class IV, and I know you can, they'll be putty in your hands. -North Mokelumne -Tig...

Re: wallace wallacing

Great example of why ya'll open boaters should work on your frikin rolls!! Your lucky you got out of that one. ..a few years ago my friends and I arrived on scene to help pull a young lady out in a similar situation. Except she was under water and it took us more than 45 minutes to get to her and pu...

Re: C1 Remix conversion: Seat position

I don't know about the remix, but in my boats 1 inch does make a difference that I can notice. Is it worth playing with? Not if it's a hassle to play with it, and you like how the boat handles as is.

Re: Fluid solo large comparison

Haven't paddled a l'edge, haven't been in any open boat for years.. so I really can't help with a comparison. But I've converted the wavesport X, necky blunt, bliss stick flipstick, H3-255, burn L, prijon pure xl, wavesport habitat and the 2nd generation burn. The best for me is the burn. The worst ...

Re: Fluid solo large comparison

Hard to pick out a conversion with so few around here to try. Welcome to conversions! I've converted 7 different kayak designs. Never have I been able to try one out or get a canoe paddler's review on one until I've converted it myself. Wait.. one, the Blunt, was raved about by Alden on here years ...

Re: Shoulder injury question.

Yeah, if you paddle right, it's all good until you roll. When you roll you really expose the right shoulder. I think the t grip shoulder get's less stress, but I'm sure there are many that disagree.

Let me help.
First thing to do is bump up your fire coverage if you're going to use a harbor freight heat gun.. I watched one spontaneously combust while turned off on a benchtop. Those tools are JUNK!

Re: Sacramento region

Clubs? Well there you go.
You don't need to join a club to boat. In fact, clubs are just clicky and tend to isolate. If you're somewhat anti social like me you're much better off meeting people one on one in the real world.

A club absolutely does NOT represent the state's boating community..
