Re: ALF/Pre-ALF Workshops
NOW BACK TO ELI's Workshops.....I've done a lot of trainings from technical computer work to survival building fires by rubbing sticks and I think Eli Helbert is one of the most interesting and effective instructors I've come across. If you think you need what he's teaching at the moment I really su...

Re: GoPro
60 or 120 frames are only needed if you want to edit slow motion into your edits today or maybe in a year? otherwise you can shoot at the standard 30 frames like ALL consumer video cameras have over the last 30+ years in the USA. Files are bigger at 60 frames a second as you are recording 2x the dat...

Re: Ledge well modification
couple things about the Ocoee bag. make sure you burp as much air out of it such that if you get a direct impact it wont blast burp the air out and possibly blow open the seal. Also put the bag up to the light and look for nicks from the inside from hard corners of contents striking the bag material...

Re: Ledge well modification
I don't really worry about my Canon 7d much at all except that it doesn't get lost. Depending on lens its $1800 to double that. I put it in the standard watershed padded insert. It's not that fantastic but its pretty good. I don't double bag. I keep a small backpacking microfiber hand towel in there...

Re: the L'edge deck semi chop
looks nice but it might be just a bit better to put a small curve leading to the deflector vs the acute angle you cut. Just point it out maybe for the next guy. Enjoy stomping the Goods in that bad boy.

Re: Ledge well modification
I wouldn't want to weigh down the bow for moves like a boof or making it harder to boss the nose to a certain direction. Sometimes I'm carrying 3 cameras, maybe even a tripod but usually its only a single big heavy Digital SLR...besides I like my heavy water bottle up front as well as my throwbag fo...

Looks like you set up a 2013 title but maybe linked in the config file for the old 2012 content.

Re: viper 11 vs option
The Option will be slower as its shorter. I'm gonna bet that you notice a big improvement in stability going to the viper, there will be an equally improved bump up in stability from the viper to the Option.... but it will be slower by alot. I could never come close to keeping up with cheek's (v11) ...

Re: CBoats calendar 2012 (and 2013... soon!)
Adam I have some sick shots of the C1 racers at this years Green Narrows race boofing hard but push come to shove with only a 3 pic limit for submissions, I'm gonna hold back the C1 for some pics of OC's. Maybe accept 3 pics per class type for 2014?

Re: Big Waterfall Running with critical thinking
Fire questions away Walsh. I think we may have already got at some of this though by saying you need to pick on small stuff. It starts by driving your boat up on rocks and sheering off for a rock boof controling the boat in different angles/currents or straight out lip boofs that could only be 3-4 f...

Re: Big Waterfall Running with critical thinking
A curious thing happened the other week I ran a nice size drop. When I took that last golden stroke I tucked forward just a bit and then I got an unexpected slam on rock vs the skip I expected. maybe flatish from about 6' to ramped outflow. I hit a knob of rock vs a narrow angled deeper though spot....

Re: Big Waterfall Running with critical thinking
Nice Craig I'm glad the info seems to be working for you. Now Cheeks as far as pressure I'm sensitive to the jarring weight of my Massive :o chest/arms/head putting pressure just below the wings of my shoulder blades on the spine. I'll just throw out there that I've had REALLY bad 15-20' plug/45ish ...
