C-boaters in Norway right now?

Intel says that seven short canoes were in Bingsen, Norway a class IV river two days ago. Do anyone know someone paddling in Norway now?
I would love to join in for some paddling if I can figure out who they are. I am local to the area, and c-boats in Norway are a rare sight.

Re: European CBoat Armada 2014

I fly in to Munich this time as Jan said.
If you are flying in without a boat Klagenfurt combined with the simple commuter train to Villach is closer. Really good autobanhs down to the last mountain pass. I think Mayhogg spent an hour driving from camp to pick Dave and me up there last Soca trip.

Any thoughts? I am 190 cm/6'2" tall with long legs and 87 kg/190 lbs without gear. It is a park and play boat only, no river running.

Re: space between foam and thwarts

I have about a one cm (1/2") between the saddle and twarts both at the front and back when tha boat is one shore. The gap tends to close when I am in and on the water. I guess I push the saddle up as I am really snug/pressfit in my saddle. I guess I just stopped caring at a point. I am going to fit ...

Re: Unique opportunity for fiberglass constructor

I really regret that I never have built myself a fiberglass boat from a mold and feel that I have the experience to help. I have my master’s degree in winded composites and have a good experience with winding fiberglass/epoxy and some experience making flat vacuum infused laminates but not with the ...

Re: Pelican Canoe

Pelicans tend to bend a bit... Actually I have first hand expirience with it... The seats have a terrible fastening method. The edge of the seat is molded togehter with the bracet you see screwed to the hull. The bracet is molded flush with the seat t bent 90 degrees and screwed to the hull. T...

Re: Designing my own boat, help please!

You usually dont carve a mould. You carve a plug identical to the finished product and then you pull a mould from the plug.

This series of vidoes are helpful and explains the prosess:

The plug can be made out of anything that is easy to form.

Three in Norway (by two of them) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_in_N ... of_them%29

It has a quite trilling part where they paddle down the Sjoa River.

Re: Coming soon....

Wow!

I just have one question: How do you check that both sides become equal? I have seen pictures of Mike stripbuliding the centre of the plug so I know how that works, but what about the final 1/16 of an inch to get i perfect?

Carbon M1 helmet

I am now in my last year at university and I feel that I should utilize our composite lab for some fun before I finish my master. Last year I did all the fibreglass work on my Stinkeye canoe in the lab to the amusement of the professors. This year we have gotten quite a bit Carbon fiber prepreg…. It...
