Sbroam I am from Greenville originally but have never paddled in the Cola area. A friend and I used to run a Coleman Ram-X 15 down the North Tyger, though...fun run for sure. One of these days I'd like to see what's going on in Columbia. Does the Saluda (or anything downstream) need a release to run?

Sbroam, are they any steep, ender-friendly play spots on the Saluda just above Columbia?

You are right about that Craig...A man definitely sees their purpose in this type of undertaking. I have even glued flattened pieces of a plastic bucket to the sides of the saddle so I can push as hard as possible without tearing the bolt out of the foam.

11'6". That extra 6" makes all the difference! Longer than the new ones, shorter than lots of classic designs, but big and Royalex...I guess it's something you don't see as much of these days.

Could be time for a trip North for a change...
