Re: question about abs slurry repair for royalex

I have used the ABS Slurry repair a few times - mainly on the bow of cracked roaylex boats - mix of ground ABS and MEK. The resulting ABS is more rigid than the surrounding Royalex, so while it works, it has a tendency to crack. I covered the repair with a kevlar felt/epoxy grunch pad and it seemed ...

Re: Repost, 18 foot Cedar Strip refinish questions/help

Re: Paddle Tape ?

Plain old PVC electrical tape has worked well on all of my paddles - Doesn't add noticeable thickness, or weight, but provides enough texture for grip and does add a bit of protection for wear points on the shaft

Rick, Genesis for sale for $750 on MEC in Lethbridge, along with an interesting Kevlar Mad River Cyclone (never heard of it). Pat. If I recall, the Cyclone was Mad River's answer to some of Steve Scarborough's and Frankie Hubbard's designs in the Mid-80s. Back then Jim and Kay would always show up ...

It has been a long time, but if memory serves, the gyromax seat was a molded plastic pedestal with a layer of foam over it. I want to say that it was approximately 6" with the foam...

Re: Slalom C1 Comparison? Vajda MM Max, One, iScream

I got a Scream a few years ago - I had been off the water for many years - my previous slalom boat was a Zealot - I'm a bit bigger than you - 200 lbs, but a Scream xl is about perfect for me. There was a bit of transition to more of a "cab forward" paddling technique for the modern boat, but overall...
