I'm just completing my outfitting job on a 4Fun (pictures to come soon) and have left the beam in to give the hull more strength. On my Super hero I was able to put in a thwart in as well, but on the 4Fun there's just not enough room to really make it work. I use the beam in conjunction with a bulk ...

I'd go with the Jackson Super or 4 Fun. I've herd great things about them. I just picked up a 4Fun last week and am outfitting it this week. Can't wait to get it out. :D

I took a few really hard hits to the back creeking a few years ago. After that I decided to find some sort of armour. I don't know if it's still being made but I picked up a Stohlquist creeking PFD that has kevlar armour plates on the back and sides of it. Still gives you full movement and feel the ...

Saddle height can help that a bit. If you raise it up it will take some of the constriction out of the knees and give you better blood flow. But the trade off is stability. Another cause can be wetsuits. They can bunch up behind the knee, again cutting off the circulation to your feet. I've seen peo...

I second locking those knees down. Don't want them lifting on you. A bigger vertical back rest will give you more control as well. Happy boating :)

I've spent a lot of time in a Caption, Capper(i think?) and the Blast. The blast had bulk heads where the other two just had straps. The blast was so much stiffer. It's a boat that demands attention but blows all round long hulls out of the water as far as control. The hard edge is prone to wear but...

I put mine as high as they could go. You want them close but as long as there is good contact. Make the fit as tight as you want it. This boat I have about half an inch on either side. I didn't want it to tight as I lend out the boat a fair bit.

When you buy the cupped knee pads they come with the pieces they cut out of the middle. Those pieces work really well as a hip pad. I cut mine so they go from flush at the bottom to full size at the top where your hip make contact. Because of the taper there is no worry of getting stuck or ripping t...

Works well if you glue it with contact cement.

Use contact cement. I use Barge on mine. Sand both surfaces then apply one thin coat to each and let dry. Its good to use a second coat on the foam side as well. Once it's all dry hit both sides with a hair dryer to warm the glue and stick it together. I found that to be the strongest thing I've tri...

Yeah it's a Jackson Super Hero. The bulkhead was built up in blocks. I glued it all the way around the hull with Barge glue. Made sure to sand all edges of the foam and plastic as well. It's also glued to the thwart I installed. I also have the old seat cushion from the K1 outfitting that I blow up ...
