Re: What's the most forgiving beginner boat still made?
This past weekend I let a very experienced butt-boater paddle my ledge in the pool, he had a real hard time making it go straight. As far as stability goes its top notch but a beginner is going to find it almost impossible to go forward in a short boat.

Tandem Encore
Has anyone ever converted an Encore to a tandem? I have one sitting around and thought it might be fun to try. Btw I'm looking for a tandem saddle

Wood gunnels on PE boats
Do you have to loosen the gunnels in the winter on polyethylene boats like you do on royalex? I just bought a ledge and I don't want any cold cracks.
