Supply chain has been tough; I know a few companies that restricted what little stock they had to only bigger outlets.
I'm not sure what, if any, stock he has but be sure to check out Andy Convery / Echo Paddles too.

Re: Time for a New Boat
Lots of great open boat designs out there, including newer ones folks are mentioning. If you want Ocoee you might want to give Andy Convery a call at Echo Paddles... if he's still making his "Echoee" I suspect you'd like it; though not ABS it is very durable in my experience (I have one). I'm not fa...

Re: Esquif Prelude (cheap!) ROBSON HOMES (Rare!) Millbrook Kyote
If you look this thread is almost 10 years old - I suspect the boats have been sold for a bit (and perhaps several times!)

Re: Minicell Foam Adhesive?
My go-to has been "red can" DAP / Weld wood contact cement, most often from my local ACE hardware.

Re: SPRAY SKIRTS
Harmony, Mountain Surf, Skirt Works, Snap Dragon. Apparently I own relics of another time! At least Seals is still around (my first skirt, though I don't have it anymore... sold it in the early 90's with the boat). I guess everyone Pak Rafts, open boats and SUPs now. I'd go with IR as they are great...

Re: Thigh straps vs lap belt pros and cons
I prefer tight outfitting (hip grabbers, good knee cups) and thigh straps - if I HAVE to I can push out of them, and otherwise I'm tight enough. Squirting, river running, and a little creeking are fine with this set up. I'm not trying any bouncy aerial moves though. Lap belts, and having to reach up...

Re: Recommendation for river runner C1
180 or so seems a good weight for stern squirting the Atom, at your weight it may be impossible quite frankly. A cut down Shaggy Sith may work, but at your weight you may want to try a Acrobat; though it is a squirt boat for many, you may need the stern volume that low to squirt easily. There are li...

Re: Recommendation for river runner C1
How much do you weigh, and how tall are you? For the right weight the Atom would be a great fit for what you are trying to do (well, it's not going to flat spin...). If your local rivers / paddling style fit with it I'd go for a Shaggy Sith if you can track one down - awesome all around boat (well, ...

Re: youth paddle
A nice sharp draw knife is a joy to use:) I find continually flipping the piece I'm working on helps me keep it mostly even on both sides. My first paddles were pretty rough, mostly as they were "paddle shaped objects" that the (very) young kids could play with / dip in the water to feel like they w...

Re: youth paddle
The image is one Roy posted of a drilled out plastic paddle, not a wood one. I'll try and track an image of the wood ones down - I couldn't find it yesterday (too many images of paddling, skiing, and of course kids!)

Re: youth paddle
It started out as a rough sawn true 1"; if purchasing finished lumber you may need to purchase "5/4" depending on what shaft diameter you want (with the shaft the thickest part that is where to start).

Re: youth paddle
After looking for a bit I gave up and made my own - a pine board, traced the shape I wanted based on down-sizing an adult paddle, cut the basic shape out with a saw, then an hour or so with a draw knife followed up with some sanding and a few coats of poly. I've made 5 so far as the kids have grown ...

Re: Millbrook Boat AC/DC Canoe For Sale $750.
Given the original post is 3 years old might be a long shot.
I'd give Kaz a call at Millbrook and see if he can build you one. Compared to most boat builders he doesn't charge nearly enough IMhO.

...and you may have also started a little something called the "C-Forum"...;). Nice to have you back with us! If you are looking to paddle but not race I'd say you should definitely check out a Millbrook Amoeba - higher volume and fast. Kaz may have other molds kicking around... worth a call anyway....
