I believe the ME is a fine boat, especially paddled solo, carves into an eddy so fast it will snap your neck. paddled class IV-V creeks with no air bags whenever the decked boat was broken. even took my wife down some II III stuff with no problems. Sure would like to find an unbroken wood gunneled M...

I acquired my first squirt boat somewhere arround 1984 it was a full cut edge. about six months into it I had the extreme pleasure of meeting up with jim snyder and paddling with him from time to time. Jimmy helped me transition some of the squirt kayak moves in...

Emissions inspections in northern va are pretty cut and dried. No way to fool the machine, absolutely no visable smoke during the inspection. If it is smoking, change the oil with synthetic (wont burn). Contrary to popular belief there are a lot of concientious and reputable mechanics out there. wit...

I took a cheap pair of neoprene booties, cut holes at all the pressure points on the top of my feet, then I took a piece of neoprene and cut holes at the same spots and glued it on top, I kept repeating until it felt comfortable. then covered the whole mess the a full patch of neoprene. They are not...

If you are paddling a low enough volumne boat when you loose your balance on your off side a quick double ender inniatiated with the bow can be a pretty flashy save, and you can tell your buds you meant to do that. As far as off side rolling, it depends on the strength of the hole. If the hole is st...

Backlund is definately the way to go, I have two. One I have been using for over 15 years! When one needs maintenance I give it back to keith and wait the 8 months for repair. Both paddles are used for squirtin and creekin. They are expensive but worth it
