Re: Paddling Gear and Rolling

Rick, I glad to hear your working on that roll. - so next session why not try your old pfd with the helmet, then new pfd and no helmet, etc. That way you'll know what's causing the failed rolls. I hope there is more gear differences going from the pool to the river than what you have mentione...

Re: Pump electronics and L'Edge welding questions

This may sound silly but a buddy had his pump wired backwards. (battery positive to motor black wire) It did pump but was very slow.
Also is the interior of the discharge hose smooth or is it ribbed. (ribbed is slower)
Is the battery fully charged.

Hope this helps

Re: Snapdragon canoe pogies, anyone tried em?

I paddle OC-1 through the winter (west coast minus 8c). And have found the NRS Mambas to work very well. They are warm and fit over the T-grip comfortably.

Wendy,
The tip about carving the foam that way, would have been nice to know. I haven't heard that before.

Mr Mahyongg,
I'm beginning to think you maybe an internet stalker, or an anti-pump activist. This may take a paddle show down to resolve. Who paddles a drier boat. Lets say, we meet in Costa Rica. There must be a river down there you can paddle. :D

Rick,
We really love the Octane because its built from PE. We're on our 2nd Royalex and 1 more new on the shelf. What C2 have you got in the quiver.

Rick,
I like your thread here. We are playing with this type of idea for our Octane 92. Some times the pumps just don't do it.

Re: A twelve-step program -- then RECOVERY !!

If anyone is wondering why a L'Edge was chosen over the BlackFly Option. I think it really boiled down how quick it could be delivered. The L'Edge was at the local C&K shop. The Option was a few weeks away. Jeremy is waiting for some foam for the outfitting. It wasn't how one paddled differently tha...

Re: A twelve-step program -- then RECOVERY !!

Oh no Rick,
That boat got sold awhile back. The Viper I was referring to is a new one, owned by the fellow that tandems the Octane with me. He has finally seen the light, and realized that the L'Edge is the boat for the Chilli Canyon.

Re: A twelve-step program -- then RECOVERY !!

Hey Rick, Einar,
There is another L'Edge in the Mission/Abbey Crew. It seems a certain owner of a Kelvar Viper has pulled the trigger and added to the quiver.

Re: A twelve-step program -- then RECOVERY !!

Jan,
You know the West Coast boaters as a whole are slow to move onto the newer designs. But now with Rick joining the plastic crew, that makes a total of 4 new boats 2 of which stay at my house.
